Did you know your home can have invisible things in the air that aren’t safe to breathe? One of them is called radon — a gas that you can’t see, smell, or taste. It comes from the ground and can sneak into homes without anyone knowing. If too much of it builds up inside, it can make people sick over time, especially kids, whose bodies are still growing.
My name is Bobbi Jo and I am a mother of two beautiful children, Bailey and Banks. I started working for Tennessee Radon Services, LLC back in May of 2023 as their Office Manager. Needless to say, I knew absolutely nothing about radon testing or mitigation systems.
Jessi and Casey, the owners, highly encouraged me to test my home. So I did. I was in complete shock, my levels were in the mid 20’s!!! Per EPA standards anything 3.9 or below are acceptable levels. As a parent, that truly concerned me for the safety of my children and for our dog, Zoey. So the next step for me was to have a radon mitigation system installed into my home. Once the radon mitigation system was installed, I had post mitigation testing done to see what my levels came back as. I was extremely relieved when they came back below a 1 pci/l.
That’s why it’s super important for us as parents to test the house for radon and mitigate if levels are high. Taking care of your home helps keep everyone inside healthy and safe – like making sure you have clean air to breathe and a cozy, safe place to sleep and play. So radon testing and radon mitigation is one more way we take care of each other and the place we call home! Contact Tennessee Radon Services today!
